Embryotransfer und assoziierte Techniken beim Pferd: Stand und Perspektiven

Der Embryotransfer eröffnet Züchtern die Möglichkeit, gezielt maternale Genetik intensiv zu nutzen und Tierärzten die Handhabe, auf einige fertilitätsmindernde Erkrankungen zu reagieren. Insbesondere hat sich der Transfer von In-vivo-gewonnenen Embryonen zur praxisreifen und gut zugänglichen Biotechnologie entwickelt, wenngleich die Biologie noch klare Grenzen vorgibt. Weitere assoziierte Techniken, wie die Kryokonservierung und In-vitro-Erzeugung von Embryonen oder die Klonierung sind Gegenstand der aktuellen Forschung und nehmen langsam ihren Weg zur Praxistauglichkeit auf.
