The current issue is small. However, we have a variety of contributions that we hope
will meet the expectations of our authors. Singarachari wrote a thought-provoking
viewpoint on the status of cancer survivorship care in general and how it should improve!
Also, Hassan-Beck et al from the Diabetes and Ramadan Group revisited the global literature
production on the subject excluding diabetes during the last year. The sports medicine,
cardiovascular and maternal health seemed to attract lots of interest. The impact
on physiology and nutrition seem to be a continuing focus.
Two original articles are included in the issue. First, Bedel et al contributed a
prospective randomized controlled trial on the vapocoolant spray for pain control
in intramuscular injection applications. Second, Elbanoni et al compared the use of
STRONGkids and anthropometry for the assessment of the nutritional status of hospitalized
children in Benghazi.
Case report and focused review of the literature discussed a possible case of Flatbush
diabetes with severe hypertriglyceridemia that was presented by Al-Nuaimi et al and
finally, letter to the editor, from Rissardo and Caprara, elaborated on some interesting
aspects of the neurological complications associated with hemodialysis.
We hope that our readers benefit and enjoy these contributions.
