93rd Annual Meeting of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery
Dear Colleagues,
it is a pleasure for me to present this abstract book at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of our Society in 2022. The motto of this annual meeting that will take place in Hannover from May 25th to 28th is “Interface – Focus on human individual in the age of high tech medicine and technology”. After two years of pandemic with cancellation of the 91st Annual Meeting and merging with the 92nd Annual Meeting as only digital conference, this will be again the first meeting with physical presence of the participants.
The response to the invitation to submit abstracts for this meeting was very strong. More than 700 contributions including invited lectures, panel discussions, moderated expert talks, free presentations, posters with explanations, and e-posters have been chosen from the submissions. Furthermore, contributions in the special sessions of the working groups and the industrial meetings are expected. Overall, the contributions reflect the enormous multifaceted nature of our highly interesting discipline. In addition, they reveal the diversity, variety, and high quality of research activities in the context of basic research as well as the clinics of our discipline. You will find the abstracts of free presentations, posters with explanations, and e-posters in the present abstract book.
What pleased me enormously, was the high number of contributions submitted by young colleagues as well as the numerous applications for the Anton-von- Tröltsch Award, poster awards, Jochen Werner Innovation Award, and multimedia award.
I want to thank all authors for their extraordinary performance. Thanks also to all reviewers who assessed and evaluated the contributions. I would be very happy if this abstract book increases your interest in the annual meeting and incentivizes you to visit our meeting as well as contribute to the discussions.
I hope that you enjoy reading the abstract book and that you get numerous ideas from it. It will be my pleasure to welcome you at Hannover soon.
