Molaren-Inzisiven-Hypomineralisation – Prävalenz, Ätiologie und Therapie

Die Molaren-Inzisiven-Hypomineralisation (MIH) beschreibt eine systemisch bedingte Hypomineralisation, deren Defekte sich klinisch an den betroffenen Zähnen durch eine Veränderung in der Transluzenz des Schmelzes auszeichnen. Die Therapie der MIH richtet sich nach dem jeweiligen Ausprägungsgrad und der vorhandenen Schmerzsymptomatik. Wichtig ist es, Patienten mit MIH frühzeitig zu erfassen und einer umfassenden Betreuung zuzuführen sowie in ein engmaschiges Recall-Programm einzubinden. Der vorliegende Beitrag soll einen Einblick in die rezente Ätiologie, die Diagnostik und die therapeutischen Möglichkeiten der MIH geben und eine Hilfestellung für die Praxis sein.
