Summary

Die Entgiftung und Ausleitung von Schwermetallen mithilfe von Selen ist eine wichtige therapeutische Maßnahme. Der Beitrag diskutiert den heutigen Stand des Wissens zum mechanistischen Hintergrund, insbesondere der Schutzwirkung von Selen gegenüber Quecksilber.
