In 2014 the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA) awarded the Egon-Stahl-Medal in Gold, the most prestigious distinction of GA, to Professor Kurt Hostettmann, Emeritus Professor of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne, in recognition of his outstanding scientific lifetime achievements.
