Die idiopathische Larynxparalyse des älteren Hundes tritt im Rahmen einer Polyneuropathie auf und wird als „Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis Polyneuropathy“ (GOLPP) bezeichnet. Eine kausale Therapie existiert nicht. Die Larynxparalyse kann aber symptomatisch durch eine Lateralisation des Arytenoids behandelt werden.
