Wie überall im medizinischen Bereich, so gilt es auch in der Dialyse, „Healthcare-Associated
Infections“ (HAI) zu vermeiden. Dies hat in Deutschland zur Schaffung eines weiteren
Funktionsträgers für Hygiene geführt: des „Hygienebeauftragten in der Dialyse“. Im
Hygienemanagement einer Dialysestation fallen ihm eine Reihe spezieller Aufgaben zu.
Damit liegen die Schwerpunkte etwas anders als diejenigen des Krankenhaushygienikers,
der Hygienefachkraft oder des hygienebeauftragten Arztes.
Like in every other medical area also for dialysis units it is necessary to avoid
„healthcare-associated infections” (HAI). Therefore, the new function of „hygiene
representative in dialysis“ has been created in Germany. The new function is embed
into the healthcare hygiene management system and a hygiene representative nurse is
entrusted with special tasks, different from those of a medical specialist in hygiene,
a nurse specialised in hygiene or hygiene representative physicians.
