Im letzten Jahrzehnt haben immer öfter Tiere Einzug in die ­Therapiezimmer therapeutischer Einrichtungen gehalten. Die ­öffentliche Meinung zu tiergestützten Therapien ist positiv, ­Erfahrungsberichte von Patienten sind euphorisch. Forscher und viele Praktiker hingegen sind eher skeptisch. Was ist dran am Mythos der tiergestützten Therapie und welchen Nutzen können Tiere für die Behandlung von Angststörungen bringen?
