Summary

The effect of the macroglobulins on the release of platelet factor 3 has been reviewed (Fig. 3). It has been shown that dissociation units of native macro-globulins fail to exert any deleterious effect upon platelets. Evidence is presented to support the theory that molecular size is of paramount importance in preventing platelet factor 3 release.
