The Use of Labelled Fibrinogen in the Diagnosis of Venous Thrombosis

Summary

In 16 normal test persons and 18 patients with venous thrombosis a comparing study with ¹³¹I-fibrinogen was made between scintillation counting and measuring the t¹/₂ in the circulating blood.

With both techniques the difference in regard to normals was significant.

Measuring the t¹/₂, however, is more sensitive and is to be prefered.
