Zusammenfassung:
Tiere mit Endokrinopathien stellen an den Anästhesisten besondere Anforderungen, da bei ihnen im perioperativen Zeitraum veränderte Stressantworten auftreten können. Solche Patienten weisen grundsätzlich ein erhöhtes Narkoserisiko auf. Präoperativ ist, wenn aus chirurgischer Sicht möglich, eine möglichst optimale Einstellung des Patienten entsprechend seiner Erkrankung vorzunehmen. Die perioperative Überwachung umfasst neben dem Routinemonitoring umfassende labordiagnostische Kontrollen einschließlich des Wasserund Elektrolythaushalts und eine exakte Überwachung der Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion. Die Anästhesie von Patienten mit Endokrinopathien darf deshalb nur durchgeführt werden, wenn die Einrichtung der Praxis dies auch ermöglicht.
Summary:
Endocrine diseases make special demands on the anaesthetist since endocrinopathies can cause different stress-reactions in the perioperative period. Patients with endocrine diseases have a higher anaesthetic risk. If it is possible from the surgeon’s point of view to stabilize the endocrine situation of the patient preoperatively, it should be done. In addition to the routine perioperative monitoring of the patient with endocrine disease extensive laboratory controls including water and electrolyt balance and a special monitoring of the cardiovascular function is necessary. Therefore anaesthesia in patients with endocrine diseases can only be done when all this monitoring is possible.
