Summary

The majority of patients with rheumatoid arthritis develop extraarticular systemic symptoms which considerably increase the morbidity of these patients. Because skin lesions may be observed at early stages they are often diagnostic. Forthisreason referralof these patients to dermatologists is warranted. Our review summarizes the spectrum of cutaneous manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis and dermatologic conditions caused by immunosuppressive therapy.
