Schlaf bei allergischer Rhinitis & Asthma bronchiale

Die allergische Rhinitis und das Asthma bronchiale sind chronische Erkrankungen mit einer hohen Prävalenz. Veränderungen der Atmung und der Lungen - funktion im Schlaf können beim Asthma bronchiale zu einer Verstärkung der bronchialen Obstruktion führen. Bei beiden Erkrankungen besteht zudem eine erhöhte Prävalenz schlafbezogener Atmungsstörungen. Dieser Artikel versucht die komplexen Zusammenhänge zwischen den Erkrankungen und dem Schlaf aus pathophysiologischer Sicht zu beleuchten und Konsequenzen für Diagnostik und Therapie aufzuzeigen.
