Integrating repertory and materia medica

The source information of homeopathic literature can be found in the materia medica, in the original language, especially in the provings. Repertories are “only” indexes to make that vast information accessible in daily practice.

Materia medica and repertories may contain errors, such as wrong observations, interpretations, copying or translation. This is one reason why every remedy in the repertory should be traced back to the original source.

This paper will present new ways to fully integrate repertory and materia medica. Every remedy in the repertory should contain a transparent, immediate link to the source information (in the materia medica). Likewise, every materia medica sentence should show the repertory rubrics to which it is linked. So that using the repertory, one reads the materia medica simultaneously and vice versa.

In addition, the repertory can be limited to the remedies that have been confirmed by source information as the work develops. The current state of this enticing project will be shown and explained.

Die Quelleninformationen der homöopathischen Literatur finden sich in der Materia medica, in der Originalsprache, vor allem in den Prüfungen. Repertorien sind „nur“ Indizes, um diese umfangreichen Informationen in der täglichen Praxis zugänglich zu machen.

Materia medica und Repertorien können Fehler, wie falsche Beobachtungen, Interpretationen, Übertragungen oder Übersetzungen enthalten. Dies ist ein Grund, warum jedes Mittel im Repertorium auf die ursprüngliche Quelle zurückzuführen ist.

Diese Arbeit präsentiert neue Wege zur vollständigen Integration von Repertorium und Materia medica. Jedes Arzneimittel im Repertorium sollte einen transparenten, unmittelbaren Link zu den Quelleninformationen (in der Materia medica) enthalten. Ebenso sollte jeder Materia-medica-Satz die Repertoriumsrubriken zeigen, mit denen er verbunden ist. Sodass man bei Verwendung des Repertoriums gleichzeitig die Materia medica liest und umgekehrt.

Darüber hinaus kann das Repertorium auf die Arzneimittel beschränkt werden, die durch die Quelleninformationen bestätigt wurden, so wie die Arbeit daran sich entwickelt. Der aktuelle Zustand dieses verlockenden Projekts wird dargestellt und erläutert.
