Inguinal discomfort and pain may result from retroperitoneal, intraabdominal, inguinal or musculoskeletal pathologies. Hereby inflammatory or malignant alterations are to be considered as well as rare hernias, which may not be evident. Diagnostic and therapeutic success frequently requires an interdisciplinary approach.
