Digitale Tomosynthese der Brust

Zusammenfassung

Die digitale Tomosynthese der Brust ist ein neues bildgebendes Verfahren, bei dem aus digitalen Projektionsaufnahmen, die über einen begrenzten Winkel aufgenommen wurden, hochaufgelöste Schichtbilder der Brust rekonstruiert werden. Die Parenchymdosis ist dabei mit der der 2D-Mammografie vergleichbar und die Methode ist insbesondere zur genauen Beurteilung von Verdichtungen und Herdbefunden geeignet. In mehreren klinischen Studien konnte die Tomosynthese der Brust wichtige zusätzliche Informationen bei mammografisch unklaren Herdbefunden und Strukturstörungen liefern. Im klinischen Alltag wird die Tomosynthese bisher vor allem als ergänzendes Verfahren bei mammografisch unklaren Befunden eingesetzt.

Abstract

In digital breast tomosynthesis a digital tomographic data set with a very high spatial resolution is reconstructed from low-dose projections collected over a limited rotation angle. This allows a very detailed assessment of e. g. masses and architectural distortions. The average glandular dose is comparable to 2 D mammography. First clinical studies demonstrated that tomosynthesis is able to supply important additional information in suspicious mammographic findings. In comparison to projection mammography, tomosynthesis shows an at least comparable diagnostic accuracy. In everyday practice, tomosynthesis is currently mostly used for further evaluation of suspicious findings in mammography.
