Abstract
Whole body MRI is a technically feasible procedure which is used for a magnitude of medical indications. This technique is applied particularly for preventive medical checkup and tumor staging. However, the exact diagnostic impact of whole-body MRI is under current evaluation. Furthermore the application of this technique is not without its limitations and under certain conditions a dedicated MRI scan of a single organ should be preferred.
