This is a case of a 14-year-old boy with schizophrenia who developed neuroleptic malignant
syndrome (an adverse reaction to antipsychotic drugs), neurogenic bladder, acute renal
failure and a urinary tract infection. The individualisation of symptoms suggested
Veratrum album. The improvement of the acute ailments came together with the improvement of the chronic
disease.
