Die Osteoarthritis ist eine häufige Lahmheitsursache, die nicht selten zu einer frühzeitigen Sportuntauglichkeit führt. Obwohl eine Vielzahl von Therapieregimen zur Verfügung steht, können oft keine Heilung und nur eine unzureichende Verbesserung der Symptome erzielt werden. Im Folgenden werden die Pathogenese und zahlreiche medikamentöse Therapieansätze erläutert.
