Nach dem Durcharbeiten dieses Beitrags sollten Sie in der Lage sein,

  • die physiologischen Wirkmechanismen von Omega-3-Fettsäuren im Rahmen von Entzündungsprozessen zu kennen,

  • die Möglichkeit des Einsatzes von Omega-3-Fettsäuren als Adjuvans in der Parodontitistherapie abschätzen zu können,

  • Patienten mit Parodontitis bzgl. einer Ernährung, die reich an Omega-3-Fettsäuren ist, zu beraten.
