Fazit

Eine standardisierte Datenerfassung in der Notfallmedizin ist zwingende Voraussetzung für ein erfolgreiches Qualitätsmanagement. Der überarbeitete Utstein-Style schafft dafür durch einheitliche Variablendefinitionen und Anpassung an aktuelle Erkenntnisse der Reanimationsforschung die wesentliche Grundlage. Durch eine Teilnahme am Deutschen Reanimationsregister besteht die Möglichkeit, alle rettungsdienstlich behandelten Herz-Kreislauf-Stillstände (inkl. Todesfeststellungen) Utstein-konform zu erfassen und mithilfe einer umfangreichen Online-Datenbank komfortabel auszuwerten. Durch die Analyse von Inzidenzen und Häufigkeiten, ergänzt um eine risikoadjustierte Prognoseabschätzung mit dem ROSC-after-cardiac-arrest-Score (RACA-Score) [4], ist ein Benchmarking strukturell unterschiedlicher Einsatzbereiche auf hohem Niveau möglich.
