Zusammenfassung
Hintergrund:
Der offene Zugang zur Septorhinoplastik über eine transkolumellare Inzision ermöglicht
eine ausgezeichnete Exposition der nasalen Binnenstrukturen und bietet damit eine
gute Übersicht für technisch aufwendige Rekonstruktionen. Ziel der Studie war die
Untersuchung der Patientenzufriedenheit in Bezug auf Qualität und Akzeptanz der postoperativ
verbleibenden Kolumellanarbe.
Material und Methoden:
In die retrospektive Studie eingeschlossen wurden 61 Patienten, welche eine primäre
offene Septorhinoplastik erhalten hatten. Der validierte Fragebogen „the patient
and observer scar assessment scale (POSAS)“ nach Drajers et al. fand Verwendung für
die Auswertung. Nach einem Zeitraum von 12 Monaten beurteilte sowohl der Patient als
auch ein unabhängiger Beobachter die Kolumellanarbe nach unterschiedlichen Kriterien.
Ergebnisse:
15 von 61 Patienten waren sehr zufrieden, 40 von 61 Patienten waren zufrieden mit
der Narbe. In der objektiven Untersuchung war der Beobachter in 5 von 11 Fällen sehr
zufrieden und in 6 von 11 Fällen zufrieden.
Schlussfolgerung:
90% der Patienten waren in der Nachuntersuchung mit ihrer Narbe zufrieden. Es fällt
auf, dass Patienten vermehrt auf die Qualität auch unscheinbarer Narben im Gesichtsbereich
achten.
Abstract
Quality and Acceptance of the Columellar Scar in Open Septorhinoplasty
Background:
The open approach via the transcolumellar incision exposes the nasal cartilaginous
and bony framework and allows a well-arranged correction in technically complex reconstructions.
The aim of the study was to show the satisfaction of the patients concerning the quality
and the acceptance of the columellar scar.
Material and methods:
In this retrospective study 61 patients with an open septorhinoplasty in a standardized
procedure were included. The valid questionnaire “The patient and observer scar assessment
scale (POSAS)” by Drajiers et al. was applied. After a period of 12 months the patient
and an independent observer judged the columellar scar with regard to different criteria.
Results:
15 out of 61 patients (24.6%) were very satisfied, 40 out of 61 (65.5%) were satisfied
with their scar. In the objective evaluation the observer was very satisfied in 5
out of 11 cases (45.5%), and satisfied in 6 out of 11 cases (54.5%).
Conclusion:
90% of the patients were content with their scar. Interestingly patients tend to judge
the quality of almost invisible scars in the face more critically.
