My Introduction to Homeopathy

In 1986, I was working as a GP.

In the morning I was asked to come to a female patient who had just given birth to her first child. She had a high fever and pain in her right breast.

She told me that she became ill that night, with fever, perspiration and pain in her right breast. In the morning she noticed that her breast was red and swollen and she thought that her breast was inflamed.

I had just started the basic homeopathy course, from the SHO in Holland. And Belladonna was one of the remedies which was discussed. And one of the indications to give Belladonna is an acute inflammation, with redness, swelling and throbbing pain.

And indeed it was a breast inflammation, a mastitis.

She took three globules of Belladonna 200, and after five minutes the inflammation diminished and the breast was not painful any more, the colour was normal and there were no further signs of inflammation. I was really astonished, it was my first experience with homeopathy and this wouldnʼt be the only experience that swept me off my feet because of the power of homeopathy.

During this International Seminar in Agra, given by Dr. R. Pareek Sr. and Dr. Alok Pareek I experienced the same admiration and inspiration for homeopathy.

After I attended Dr. Alok Pareekʼs seminar in Bad Niedernau in 2011, I wanted to see what the effect was with homeopathy and the effect of the strategy in their clinic in Agra.

Full of expectations I arrived in Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, one of the seven world wonders. But also the homeopathic wonder of this time span. The soul of homeopathy, Hahnemann, Kent, Nash, Boericke and other old masters found its use in the 21st century. Everyone knows that homeopathy works and it is already scientifically proven, but that the outcome of the homeopathic strategy is evidence based in this time according to the principles of the allopathic medicine, is shown by the Pareeksʼ on a routine basis.

The results of the homeopathic treatment are registered according the standards of allopathic medicine; lab results, echo, X-ray, CT scan, MRI scan. And in this way our allopathic-working colleagues understand the language of homeopathy. That which works is shown to be unbiased.

Many things were addressed during the seminar: strategy, cases and indications of several remedies. In total there were more than 100 remedies taught, most of the time with a direct application in the clinic, so when, how, and which way, potency and posology.
