Allgemeines

ZNS-Anomalien zählen zu den häufigsten angeborenen Auffälligkeiten. Schätzungen besagen, dass 1 von 100 Lebendgeburten eine intrakranielle ZNS-Auffälligkeit aufweist [1]. Die Angabe von Inzidenzen angeborener ZNS-Auffälligkeiten ist mutmaßlich unterschätzt, da einige strukturelle Veränderungen präpartal und zum Zeitpunkt der Geburt unentdeckt bleiben können und sich erst später im Verlauf der ersten Lebensjahre bemerkbar machen. Die exakte pränatale Diagnosestellung kann z. T. erhebliche Probleme bereiten.
