Wirkung einer Cranberry- und Kürbiskernextrakt-Kombination auf die Harnwege

Zusammenfassung

In einer randomisierten, doppelblinden, placebokontrollierten, klinischen Cross-over-Studie wurde die Wirkung einer Cranberry- und Kürbiskernextrakt-Kombination (Cystorenal® Cranberry plus) auf die Harnwege mittels Hemmung der Bakterienadhärenz an Urothelzellen untersucht. Die Ergebnisse von 18 Probanden beiderlei Geschlechts im Alter von 21–52 Jahren gingen in die Auswertung ein. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Bakterienadhärenz unter der Einnahme von Cystorenal® Cranberry plus im Vergleich zum Placebo um 33,4 % reduziert wurde. Die Studie zeigt, dass die für das Präparat empfohlene diätetische Menge ausreichend ist, um die gesunde Blase vor einer pathologischen Besiedlung mit E.-coli-Bakterien signifikant zu schützen. Unerwünschte Wirkungen des Prüfpräparates traten nicht auf.
