Lernziele
In diesem Beitrag werden folgende Weiterbildungsziele besprochen:
Morbus Menière vestibuläre Migräne Vestibularisparoxysmie bilaterale Vestibulopathie residuell peripher vestibuläres Defizit phobischer Schwankschwindel und andere somatoforme Schwindelformen
Schwindel ist mit einer Lebenszeitprävalenz von ca. 30 % das zweithäufigste Symptom in der Neurologie nach Kopfschmerzen [1]. Insbesondere Patienten mit chronischen Schwindelbeschwerden werden häufig als schwierig zu diagnostizieren und zu therapieren empfunden. Häufig werden unnötige Zusatzuntersuchungen und Überweisungen zu anderen Fachärzten veranlasst, ohne dem Patienten helfen zu können. Eine einheitliche Definition wie bei Kopfschmerzen gibt es für die ätiologisch unterschiedlichen chronischen Schwindelsyndrome nicht, v. a. nicht, ab wann Chronizität vorliegt. Nach Lektüre dieses Beitrags soll der Leser in der Lage sein, chronische Schwindelsyndrome korrekt zu diagnostizieren und eine entsprechende Therapie einzuleiten.
