Zusammenfassung
Nach einer Gewebsschädigung des Gehirns beobachtet man bei
manchen Patienten, dass sie sich verhalten, als existiere eine Seite des Raumes
oder des eigenen Körpers nicht mehr. Dieses Phänomen wird als Neglekt
bezeichnet. Etwa ein Drittel der rechtshemisphärisch und ein Achtel der
linkshemisphärisch geschädigten Patienten weist in der chronischen
Phase einen Neglekt auf. Früher verstand man unter der Bezeichnung Neglekt
synonym den visuellen Neglekt, die gegenwärtige Betrachtung ist
differenzierter und schließt verschiedene Sinnesmodalitäten, aber
auch Raumsektoren ein. Daniela Glocker und Günter Neumann beschreiben die
aktuellen theoretischen Hintergründe zu diesem Störungsbild sowie
momentane Behandlungsansätze für Patienten mit Neglekt, die sich an
den Top-down- und Bottom-up-Therapieansätzen orientieren.
