Abstract

The differential diagnosis of painful functional disorders of the trunk, that is the thorax and the abdomen, is very broad also with regard to the acuity and possible consequences. The manual-medical diagnostic can provide a valuable contribution in the differentiation of more structurally vs. a functional pathology. In the following contribution were manual-medical syndromes introduced, what summarize local findings of the muskuloskeletal (locomotor) and the visceral system. This makes the primary differential diagnosis easier, the therapeutic approach as well. The combination with osteopathic methods is very profitable. A necessary specialist differential diagnosis is untouched.
