CRPS und Osteopathie – Möglichkeiten und Grenzen

In der letzten Ausgabe der DO wurde über die intravenöse Gabe von Immunglobulinen bei der Behandlung des Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) berichtet. In seinem Kommentar ermutigte Prof. Resch dazu, sich vonseiten der Osteopathie dem Krankheitsbild zuzuwenden. Der vorliegende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit den Konsequenzen dieser Studie für Schlussfolgerungen zur Pathogenese sowie mit dem osteopathischen Verständnis für diese Erkrankung.Dabei erläutert er die osteopathischen Erklärungsansätze zu CRPS, führt die damit einhergehenden offenen Fragen auf und plädiert für die Entwicklung eines eigenen osteopathischen Therapiekonzepts.
