The first day of the seminar began in the morning on 7th February with two scientific sessions conducted by Dr. R. S. They explained the categorisation of cancer patients; mind being the key to prevention and treatment of cancer. Dr. Alok Pareek elaborated how homeopathy proves helpful and supportive in cases of advanced malignancies after surgery and radiation. The sufferings are minimised and the life made more comfortable. He presented a case of uterine sarcoma which was greatly helped by Sepia officinalis, and a follow-up case of operated carcinoma of the stomach which was managed with the help of Cadmium sulphuratum and Phosphorus. There was a highly inspiring case report of lung cancer with metastasis in the brain which responded to Conium maculatum with Colocynthis, Gelsemium sempervirens, Ipecacuanha, and Glonoinum administered from time to time. Dr. Alok Pareek presented a follow-up statistic of 76 malignant cases treated from October 2008 to November 2009, from among which 53 are doing well, the success rate being around 70 %.

Classifying homeopathic remedies in different groups as per indications and uses, Dr. Alok Pareek dealt with the remedies in five groups, namely, follow-up remedies after surgery, acute remedies for acute aliments, constitutional anti-miasmatic remedies, nosodes, and organ remedies.

On the second day, the first two sessions were held on emergencies – life-threatening acute medical conditions and their homeopathic management. This topic of high importance was very gracefully presented by Dr. Alok Pareek to sumptuous satisfaction of the delegates. He broadly divided the topic into two parts, acute conditions with no immediate threat to life, and life-threatening acute emergencies like natural calamities, automobile accidents, animal attack, and injuries on the playground.

Dr. S. S. Kochhar, eminent homeopath from Nagpur, India presented a session on practical utility of the study of mind, and its use in selection of medicine and explained the role of miasms in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases.

The next session was devoted to peptic acid disease. Dr. Alok Pareek recounted the life style and mental picture of duodenal ulcer. A series of cases of students with duodenal ulcer who needed mainly two remedies, namely, Argentum nitricum and Anacardium orientale. They were also helped by two bowel nosodes with intercurrent role – Dysentery co and Proteus in 200 C. In the following discussion on advanced liver diseases Dr. Pareek described cirrhosis of the liver with portal hypertension and their clinical remedies, with the signal role of Carduus marianus. In the evening session tutorials were held with liver patients at the bedside in the well-equipped Pareek Indoor Hospital.

Pareek, wherein the cases of children suffering attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and cerebral palsy (CP) were discussed with differential diagnoses and therapeutic comparisons of more common remedies such as Kalium bromatum, Tuberculinum, Tarentula hispanica, etc. While demonstrating several autistic children patients with good improvement, Dr. Alok Pareek stressed the mother's history during the pregnancy of such a child. He said it is very important to take parental history. The history of injuries and trauma, including maternal emotional trauma during pregnancy or gestation gives a valuable causative factor in such cases.
