Comparison of Oral Sustained-Release Strong Opioids considering Differential Therapeutic Aspects in Patients with Tumor-Related PainPublication History
Publication Date:

Abstract
The majority of all cancer patients are suffering from severe pain. A lot of aspects must be taken into consideration when applying the effective opioids available for long-term treatment of chronic pain. These are comorbidity, appearance of active and non-active metabolites, side effects, co-medication and their relevance with regard to interaction, compliance, immunosuppressive effects as well as the individual preferences of the patients.
