Abstract

This literature review examined the question whether the regularly used eccentric exercise is really effective in lower extremity tendopathy. The articles found showed moderate to high evidence that eccentric exercise has positive impact on patient satisfaction as well as limited to moderate evidence for pain and functional improvement. Only limited evidence for better effects of eccentricity verses other treatment interventions was found.
