At the Board of Directors meeting in Timisoara in June the application for membership from the Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology of the Republic of Moldova (SUMB) was approved and it is a pleasure to welcome them as an EFSUMB member. Moldova, bordering Romania and Ukraine, has a population of 4 million. The Ultrasound Society has 281 members.
