This edition of Seminars in Musculoskeletal Radiology highlights the wide spectrum and most recent advances of percutaneous musculoskeletal (MSK) interventions. We are fortunate to have put together this unique series of articles from the most talented experts in the field.

The issue begins with a masterful update on ultrasound-guided interventional procedures for tendinopathies by Glielmo et al, followed by a thorough review on orthobiologics and injectable therapies for the MSK system by Chatha et al. Because MSK interventions have largely expanded to peripheral nerve disorders, Gruber et al wisely describe the basics of peripheral nerve injections as well as the most recent developments of sonosurgery. In a review article based on different clinical scenarios, Arrigoni et al demonstrate when and how to manage bone marrow edema with current interventional radiology techniques. In addition, Amoretti et al share their unique experience in spine intervention to manage sports-related injuries in high-level athletes.

Another striking recent development of MSK interventions is certainly percutaneous osteosynthesis, beautifully covered in this issue by Stacoffe et al. Image-guided percutaneous cryoablation also plays an increasingly important role in the management of bone and soft tissue tumors. Le Corroller et al nicely describe the percutaneous cryoablation technique, and they discuss the expanding range of clinical indications as well as future directions of this promising technology. The final article by Isaac et al offers a state-of-the-art review of artificial intelligence in MSK image-guided interventions.

Overall, our experts have provided the most up-to-date information regarding each topic as well as invaluable practical tips by describing common clinical situations. As guest editor for this issue, I would like to thank all the authors for their efforts in creating these inspiring articles. Now, enjoy your reading!
