Zusammenfassung

Der Praxisbeitrag zur psychosozialen LGBTIQ*A-Beratungsstelle „Queerbeet“ thematisiert die Bedeutung von Beratungsangeboten für Menschen mit sexueller und geschlechtlicher Vielfalt unter Berücksichtigung des Minoritätenstressmodells ([Göth und Kohn 2014]; [Meyer 2003]). Dieses Modell beleuchtet die spezifischen Stressoren, denen queere Personen aufgrund von Diskriminierung und sozialer Ausgrenzung ausgesetzt sind, und deren Auswirkungen auf die psychische Gesundheit. Die Beratungsstelle „Queerbeet“, gegründet im Oktober 2023 in Oberfranken, bietet vielfältige Unterstützungsangebote für Betroffene, Angehörige und Fachkräfte. Die erste Evaluation zeigt ein breites Spektrum hinsichtlich der Beratungsbedarfe und weist auf den Bedarf an weiteren Bildungsangeboten und strukturellen Veränderungen hin. Zukünftige standardisierte Evaluationsmethoden sollen die Wirksamkeit der Beratung und die Effekte auf die psychosoziale Gesundheit untersuchen.

Abstract

The practical article about the psychosocial LGBTIQ*A counseling center “Queerbeet” addresses the importance of counseling services for people with sexual and gender diversity, taking into account the minority stress model ([Göth and Kohn 2014]; [Meyer 2003]). This model highlights the specific stressors to which queer people are exposed due to discrimination and social exclusion and their effects on mental health. The “Queerbeet” counselling center, founded in October 2023 in Upper Franconia, offers a wide range of support services for those affected, their relatives and professionals. The first evaluation shows a broad spectrum of counseling needs and points to the need for further educational offers and structural changes. Future standardized evaluation methods should examine the effectiveness of the counseling and the effects on psychosocial health.
