Einleitung / Indikation

Uns wurde vor 24 Jahren ein drei Monate altes Mädchen mit einem gedoppelten triphalangealen Daumen rechts ([Abb. 1]) vorgestellt. In der Klassifikation der Daumenpolydaktylie nach Wassel wird die hier dargestellte Daumendoppelung mit Triphalangealität und zusätzlicher Doppelung des Mittelhandstrahles nicht erwähnt [1], findet dann jedoch in der 2008 eingeführten Rotterdam-Klassifikation mit Nr. VIII und Darstellung eines doppelten Sattelgelenkes eine fast identische Darstellung wie im vorliegenden Fall [1] [2].
