Die Parasitenkontrolle ist in der Weidehaltung von großer Bedeutung, die Fokussierung auf die chemische Bekämpfung mit Hilfe von antiparasitär wirkenden Arzneimitteln ist jedoch aus mehreren Gründen obsolet. Stattdessen gilt es, für jede Herde eine passende mehrgleisige Strategie zu entwickeln. Das Weidemanagement ist dabei ein zentraler Bestandteil und kann die Notwendigkeit therapeutischer Behandlungen effektiv reduzieren.
