Capnocytophaga canimorsus: Ein gefährliches Bakterium nach Tierbissen

Capnocytophaga canimorsus ist ein gramnegatives, stäbchenförmiges Bakterium, das zur normalen Mundflora von Hunden und Katzen gehört. Obwohl es für die Tiere selbst meist harmlos ist, kann es beim Menschen schwere Infektionen verursachen, insbesondere nach Bissen, Kratzern oder engem Kontakt mit dem Speichel erregertragender Tiere.
