Teppei Masunaga et al. Feasibility of modified double-layered suturing for a large
mucosal defect after duodenal endoscopic submucosal dissection (origami method)
A modified double-layered suturing method using through-the-scope clips (origami method)
was used to close 28 duodenal defects after endoscopic submucosal dissection. Complete
closure was achieved in 27 cases (96%), including the largest lesion. Delayed perforation
and bleeding were not observed. Further studies are now needed to compare this method
with other closure techniques.
