„Staggering Disease“ und das Rustrela-Virus – eine Geschichte von kleinen und großen Katzen

Die „Staggering Disease“ ist eine selten auftretende Erkrankung der Katze, die mit neurologischen Symptomen – allen voran einer Hinterhandataxie – und einer lymphohistiozytären Meningoenzephalomyelitis einhergeht. Erst im Jahr 2023 konnte die Ursache dieser Erkrankung, die auch Großkatzen betreffen kann, identifiziert werden.
