Schwerwiegende und lebensbedrohliche Notfälle in der pädiatrischen HNO-Heilkunde sind selten. Eine zeitnahe und korrekte Diagnosestellung ist für den weiteren Krankheitsverlauf essenziell und beginnt in der Regel präklinisch. Hierzu ist die Kenntnis der wichtigsten Krankheitsbilder unumgänglich.
