Sicherheit geht vor – HWS-Behandlung vorbereiten – Teil 1 von 2

Kopf- und Nackenschmerzen können frühe Symptome einer zervikalen arteriellen Dysfunktion sein. Laut Internationaler Vereinigung der Manualtherapeut*innen IFOMPT liegt jedoch seit 2020 keine Empfehlung mehr vor, prämanipulative Tests durchzuführen. Und das aus gutem Grund: Kritikpunkte sind unter anderem die geringe Spezifität und Sensitivität der Tests und das Risiko der Provokation während der Testungen selbst. Warum dagegen Blutdruckmessung und Hirnnerventests angezeigt sind, erklärt dieser Artikel.
