Zusammenfassung

MR-gesteuerte Interventionen sind in der Brustdiagnostik etabliert. Sowohl Biopsie- und Markierungsvorrichtungen als auch Nadeln für die Vakuumbiopsie, Markierungsdrähte, Clips und Coils stehen als MR-kompatibles Equipment zur Verfügung. Diese Publikation beschreibt über diese Materialien hinaus auch die Indikationen, die leitliniengemäße Durchführung und potenzielle Fehler bei MR-gesteuerten Interventionen.

Abstract

MRI-guided interventions of the breast are established and routine procedures in breast cancer diagnostics. Biopsy and localization devices that meet the demands of modern high-performance MRI-scanners have been available for the execution of such interventions for many years. Accordingly, needles for vacuum biopsies, localization wires, as well as clips and coils in various configurations are all available in MRI-compatible versions. This publication cites the indications for MRI-guided interventions and presents a broad spectrum of materials currently used for such interventions. In addition, examples of the performance of MRI-guided biopsies and localizations in accordance with best practice guidelines are presented and potentials for mistakes are identified. Finally, financial aspects are discussed.
