Zusammenfassung
Cannabisblüten sind seit etwa 5 Jahren in Deutschland verschreibungsfähig. Cannabisbasierte Medikamente besitzen ein breites therapeutisches Potenzial und gelten auch bei einer langzeitigen Therapie als gut verträglich. Die Indikationen reichen von Schmerzerkrankungen über neurologische, chronisch-entzündliche sowie psychiatrische Erkrankungen bis hin zur proaktiven Unterstützung bei Chemotherapie. Der Artikel gibt eine Übersicht über die aktuelle Gesetzeslage, Verschreibungsmöglichkeiten und das therapeutische Potenzial cannabisbasierter Medikamente.
Abstract
It is now 5 years that cannabis flowers can be prescribed in Germany. Cannabis-based medications have a broad therapeutic potential and are considered to be well tolerated, even in the case of long-term therapy. The indications range from pain disorders and neurological, chronic inflammatory as well as psychiatric diseases to proactive support during chemotherapy. In Germany, isolated THC (Dronabinol), the synthetic THC derivative Nabilone and the cannabis extract Sativex have been approved to this date. The article provides an overview of the current legal situation, prescription options, and the therapeutic potential of cannabis-based medications.
