Zusammenfassung
Das Ziel chirurgischer Maßnahmen während oder vor einer kieferorthopädischen Therapie
ist die Erleichterung der Einstellung und der langfristige Erhalt einer stabilen Okklusion
sowie die Ausformung der Zahnbögen, wenn dies mit kieferorthopädischen Mitteln allein
nicht realisierbar ist.
Die in diesem Artikel beschriebenen Eingriffe können unter der Voraussetzung entsprechender
Kompetenz des Behandlers und der erforderlichen technischen Ausstattung auch in der
hauszahnärztlichen Praxis durchgeführt werden.
Abstract
The aim of surgical measures during or before orthodontic therapy is to facilitate
the alignment and long-term maintenance of a stable occlusion as well as the shaping
of the dental arches if this cannot be achieved by orthodontic means alone.
The procedures described in this article can also be performed in the general dental
practice, provided that the practitioner has the appropriate competence and the necessary
technical equipment.
