Isabel Martin et al. Gastric adenomas and their management in familial adenomatous polyposis
Among 726 patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), 104 (14 %) had a gastric adenoma. High grade dysplasia was detected in five (5 %) of these patients, while two patients had gastric cancer at initial gastric adenoma diagnosis. During follow-up, three patients were additionally diagnosed with gastric cancer. The study shows the importance of gastric endoscopic surveillance in patients with FAP.Quality:
