Kousei Tashiro et al. Endoscopic filling with polyglycolic acid sheets and fibrin glue of persistent fistula after esophagectomy.

A novel endoscopic treatment for persistent fistula after esophagectomy is presented, in which the anastomotic leakage is filled with polyglycolic acid (PGA) sheets via a ligation delivery device, followed by fibrin glue. Preliminary results show that this filling method could be an effective option for persistent fistula, but further studies are needed.
