Hideyuki Chiba et al. Endoscopic submucosal dissection of large pedunculated polyps
with wide stalks: a retrospective multicenter study
This study included 29 patients, each with a very large polyp that was not amenable
to standard techniques, and who underwent resection by endoscopic submucosal dissection
(ESD). Curative resection was achieved in 24/28 (86 %) with few adverse events; however,
the authors note that ESD can be technically challenging, with difficulties related
to fibrosis and polyp mobility.
