Abstract
Lithium intoxication presents with a plethora of symptoms. Especially in elderly patients,
prompt diagnosis can be delayed as intoxication can mimic symptoms of co-morbidities.
We present and discuss a patient with multiple diseases, who presented in an acute
confusional state due to lithium intoxication.
Zusammenfassung
Lithium Intoxikation zeigt sich mit einer Vielzahl an Symptomen. Vor allem in älteren
Patienten kann eine sofortige Diagnose verzögert werden, da die Symptome einer Lithium
Intoxikation mit Symptomen von Begleiterkrankungen verwechselt werden können. Wir
präsentieren und diskutieren eine Patientin mit multiplen Begleiterkrankungen, die
in einem akut verwirrten Zustand, bedingt durch eine Lithium Intoxikation, sich präsentierte.
